Does ip range of 11.x.x.x is routable on public internet ? i found out when i tracert this particular ip address begin with 11.x.x.x it seems can go out to internet.By the way this is internal management IP
This ip range used in the hyperscaler infrastructure. Its an internal management ip under public cloud.when i tracert it using wifi guest at equinix building,i saw the ip was coming out from microsoft azure ->ISP> and get through to international carriage like NTT KL > NTT sg before it died.i wondered if the traffic want to coming back through the wifi guest building but maybe it dropped at wifi guest router or the client router/firewall who own the internal ip
Yes you are right it owned by DoD.Im just curious since the ip is used by some hyperscaler.i tought it will be so dangerous if it can go back to its destination since its routable to internet.but when i switch to mobile hotspot and do the tracert on the same IP again, this time it use different carrier upstream which is a cogent.
default gateway > ISP > cogent SG > cogent USA
now for the summary both ip ended in different carrier using different network.
wifi guest:died at NTT SG
mobile hotspot: died at Cogent LA
.

since IP Address 11.0.0.0/8 having route error, and no point for us to go there, we can use 11.0.0.0/8 as alternative to Private beside 192.0.2.0/24Maxstygian wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 6:24 am Yes you are right it owned by DoD.Im just curious since the ip is used by some hyperscaler.i tought it will be so dangerous if it can go back to its destination since its routable to internet.but when i switch to mobile hotspot and do the tracert on the same IP again, this time it use different carrier upstream which is a cogent.
